Eric Pyenson

General Counsel

Eric Pyenson is a member of the Evolv Technology Executive Leadership Team where he serves as General Counsel. Eric is a veteran lawyer and management executive with extensive experience in handling corporate transactions, IPOs, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance and policies. He established his experience of in-house legal functions at various early-stage tech companies, equipping the teams to handle demands of rapid growth, international expansion, and risk mitigation. Previously, Eric has served as Vice President and General Counsel for technology and software companies including Carbon Black Inc, A123 Systems, and Authoria. Eric holds a Bachelors of English from Williams College as well as a Master of Arts in International Relations from University of Sussex and a Juris Doctor of Law from Northeastern University Law School. He volunteers with multiple law mentorship programs, including the Legal Food Hub (Conservation Law Foundation) and Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Program (HLEP).
