Executive Vice President, Engineering

Owais Hassan is a member of the Evolv Technology Executive Leadership Team, where he serves as Executive Vice President of Engineering. He is leading the Company’s global engineering and product development initiatives with a focus on extending the Company’s technology leadership in the AI-based weapons detection security screening market. Owais joined the company in 2019 with over twenty-five years of experience in High-Tech R&D and product development leadership. Owais has delivered products in Internet infrastructure, Wi-Fi and Broadband Wireless, Cyber Security, Distributed real-time systems, and Digital technologies. He held technical leadership positions at CIMCON Smart City, AES Corp., General Dynamics, Sycamore Networks, and Ericsson (formerly FORE Systems). He is driven by a passion for solving technologically hard problems and transforming them into lucrative business opportunities. Owais holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from West Virginia University.
